GiveProof (“the app”) turns photos of the goods you donate into an itemized, fair-market-valued donation record for your tax files. It was designed from the start so that nothing you do in the app ever leaves your device.
Everything happens on your device
- Photos of donated goods and charity receipts are analyzed on your device using Apple’s built-in Vision framework. They are never uploaded anywhere.
- The itemized list is generated on your device by the Apple Foundation Models framework (Apple Intelligence) — the on-device AI that ships with your iPhone. No cloud AI service is involved.
- Fair-market values come from a valuation guide bundled inside the app, so pricing an item requires no internet connection.
- Your donation records are stored only in the app’s local database on your device.
- The Form 8283-aligned PDF is generated on your device and goes only where you choose to share or save it.
What we collect
Nothing. The app makes no network calls for its functionality, so we have no way to see your photos, your donations, or anything else about you.
What we do not do
- We do not require an account, email, or password.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- We do not track you or use your data for advertising.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties — we never have it in the first place.
Subscriptions
The optional GiveProof+ subscription (which unlocks PDF export) is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details or your Apple ID.
Children
The app is intended for the adult preparing charitable-donation records. It does not knowingly collect information from children — or from anyone else.
Changes to this policy
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above before the change ships.
